Welcome to Social Anxiety Anonymous!

Social Anxiety Anonymous is a Nonprofit organization that provides free support groups for social anxiety sufferers. In addition Social Anxiety Anonymous has a 12 Step program of recovery for social anxiety that is discussed in it’s support groups.

These support groups are gentle, non-pressuring, and can help enormously in overcoming social anxiety symptoms. To make progress with ones symptoms, the suggestion is to attend Social Anxiety Anonymous support groups on a consistent and ongoing basis. It is also suggested that one read Social Anxiety Anonymous suggested literature on an ongoing basis.

The overall tone of this recovery program is non-pressuring. A supportive and gentle environment in the support groups and also reflected in the literature, allow for progress in overcoming social anxiety problems without feeling like one has to be extremely hard on oneself (which can be a part of the Social Anxiety problem). Issues like perfectionism and it’s relationship to social anxiety, trust and faith and how they impact social anxiety and also social anxiety and dream work: learning how to allow oneself to reconnect with ones dreams of a better life, such dreams in particular often being a casualty of chronic social anxiety and reclaiming ones dreams of a better life being a key part of overcoming social anxiety.
